Becoming a patient
At Mercer’s Center for IDD Care, we welcome patients ages 18 and older with a suspected or confirmed intellectual or developmental disability (IDD). Examples of IDD diagnoses include:
- Autism
- Down syndrome
- Fragile X syndrome
- Williams syndrome
- Cerebral palsy
You may begin with either primary care or dental services. For primary care, your first visit will include a consultation with one of our primary care providers. Together with you and your caregiver, your provider will review your overall health, talk through your needs and create a personalized care plan designed to support both medical and behavioral well-being.
Serving all of Georgia
We’re here for families across the state. As a statewide center, Mercer’s Center for IDD Care accepts patients from anywhere in Georgia.
Insurance and payment
The Center for IDD Care is enrolled in Medicaid and Medicare and is in the process of enrolling with additional payors. Copays are due before your appointment begins. We accept most forms of payment. We do not accept CareCredit.
