Care you can trust
Primary care
Our comprehensive primary care services are designed to meet the unique needs of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). By working closely with patients and caregivers, we address complex medical and behavioral health needs with a personalized, coordinated approach to care.

Primary care services
At the Mercer Center for IDD Care, we are proud to offer primary care services designed specifically for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our environment is built on dignity, collaboration and whole-person wellness.
We go beyond routine check-ups and sick visits. Our team takes the time to build trust and meaningful relationships with each patient and their support system, ensuring care is both compassionate and effective.
To accommodate patients with sensory sensitivities, we provide sensory-friendly rooms and sensory bags equipped with items like sunglasses, earplugs, and other tools to create a calming experience.
Primary care is the gateway to accessing the full range of services at the Mercer Center for IDD Care. Every patient needing medical care begins their journey with an intake consultation with one of our primary care providers (PCPs). During this consult, the PCP will assess the patient’s health needs and develop an individualized care plan. From there, the PCP will coordinate access to additional services and specialty care as needed.
